Personal Data Protection Notice

This notice informs you how personal data is processed under Turkey’s Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (“KVKK”) and related regulations. The Turkish version of this notice is the legally binding text; this English version is provided for convenience.

Data controller

klavye.tech (iletisim@klavye.tech) operates the website and is the data controller for the personal data described here.

Personal data we process

  • Server logs: IP address, date and time of access, pages requested, browser and device information. These are processed by our hosting provider, Netlify.
  • Cookie and online identifiers: Only if you consent, through analytics and advertising cookies.
  • Contact data: If you email us, your email address and the content of your message.
  • Anonymous result measurements: Created only when you press Share. They include words per minute, accuracy, duration, language and date, and contain no name, email address or other identifying information.

The site has no user accounts. Your lesson progress and preferences are kept in your own browser, not on our servers.

  • Operating, securing and maintaining the site: Server logs. Legal ground: KVKK Article 5(2)(f), the controller’s legitimate interest.
  • Measuring site use and improving lessons: Google Analytics 4 cookies. Legal ground: KVKK Article 5(1), explicit consent.
  • Showing and measuring advertising: Google AdSense cookies. Legal ground: KVKK Article 5(1), explicit consent.
  • Replying to your messages: Legal ground: KVKK Article 5(2)(f), legitimate interest.
  • Creating a shared result link: Created when you deliberately press Share. Legal ground: KVKK Article 5(1), explicit consent.

How we collect data

Your data is collected in two ways. When you visit the site, server logs and cookies collect certain information automatically. When you email us, we receive your data directly from you. The site does not ask you to fill in forms, create an account or enter personal details.

Transfers abroad

Hosting, DNS, email routing and analytics services are provided by Netlify, Inc. (United States), Cloudflare and Google. Their servers may be located outside Turkey, so your personal data may be transferred abroad. Transfers are carried out in line with KVKK Article 9 and related regulations: for analytics and advertising cookies, based on your explicit consent, and otherwise with appropriate safeguards.

Data processors and security

To deliver the service technically, your data may be processed by service providers acting under their own terms. These are Netlify for hosting and shared result storage, Cloudflare for DNS and email routing, and Google for analytics and advertising. We take appropriate technical and administrative measures to keep personal data secure. Because there are no accounts, we do not store passwords or login details on our servers.

Retention

  • Progress and preference data stays in your browser until you clear its site data. We do not store it on our servers.
  • Analytics cookies last up to 2 years. Advertising cookies last up to 13 months.
  • Shared result records are kept until you request their deletion.
  • Server logs and email correspondence are kept only as long as needed for their purpose, then deleted or anonymized.

Your rights under KVKK Article 11

You have the right to:

  • Learn whether your personal data is being processed,
  • Request information if it is,
  • Learn the purpose of processing and whether data is used in line with that purpose,
  • Know the third parties to whom data is transferred, in Turkey or abroad,
  • Request correction if data is incomplete or inaccurate,
  • Request deletion or destruction of data under the conditions set out in KVKK Article 7,
  • Request that corrections, deletions or destructions be notified to third parties to whom data was transferred,
  • Object to a result against you arising solely from automated analysis of your data,
  • Claim compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing.

How to apply

Send your request to iletisim@klavye.tech. Include the information we need to confirm your identity. We will respond free of charge as soon as possible and within 30 days at the latest. If the request requires a separate cost, a fee set by the Turkish Personal Data Protection Board may apply.

If your request is refused, the answer is inadequate, or no reply is given within the set time, you may file a complaint with the Turkish Personal Data Protection Board within the time limits set by KVKK.

We may update this notice when needed. The current version is published on this page, and the date at the top shows when it was last changed.
