Week 16: Final week
Turkish F keyboard course. 40 wpm, 96% accuracy.
This is the final week of the course. Since the home row, you have learned letters, the top and bottom rows, numbers, symbols and sentences. This week there are no new keys. Your aim is to combine everything you have learned and measure your speed again. Think of the final week as a check on where you are strong and where you still need practice, rather than a test you can fail.
What you will learn
There are no new keys this week. You bring the finger habits from all earlier weeks together in one flow:
- Use the home row, top row and bottom row together. Each time a finger reaches out, bring it back to its home position.
- Use Shift with the opposite pinky, and AltGr with your right thumb.
- Type numbers and symbols inside sentences. After each symbol, return your fingers to the home row.
The texts this week are longer and more mixed. Read each text once and type it slowly, then type it again a little faster. In the slow round, focus on accuracy. In the faster round, focus on rhythm.
Technique tips
- Check your posture often when you type long texts. Your back should be straight, your hands lightly above the keys and your elbows close to your sides.
- When you reach a difficult key, do not rush. Prepare the finger early. Speed comes from preparation.
- If you make a mistake, do not stop. Finish the word, make a short correction and return to the flow.
- Look at the screen. Keeping the habit of not looking at the keyboard is one of the most useful things you take from this course.
- After each test, rest for two minutes. A short break helps you come back to the next session with a cleaner touch.
Lessons
- Lesson 1 (10-15 minutes): Review everything. Watch the keyboard demo, follow the fingers for the keys that gave you trouble, and type each group a few times.
- Lesson 2 (10-15 minutes): Practice. Type longer texts that mix letters, numbers, symbols and punctuation. Alternate between slow and faster rounds.
- Lesson 3 (10-15 minutes): Take the final test. Review the results, note which areas you are strong in, and which areas still need practice.
This week’s goal
Your targets are 40 WPM and 96% accuracy. Finishing the lessons earns 1 star. Reaching the accuracy target earns 2 stars, and reaching the speed target in the closing test earns 3 stars. In the final week, look at accuracy first. A clean text is always more valuable than a fast text with mistakes.
This week’s lessons
Do the lessons in order. Each one ends with a test, and your best result is saved.
