Week 15: Paragraphs and stamina

Turkish F keyboard course. 36 wpm, 95% accuracy.

This week you put sentences together to write paragraphs. A paragraph is a group of several sentences that develops one idea. Writing a paragraph takes longer than writing a single line, so this week the focus is stamina more than speed. Keeping good posture, keeping your eyes on the screen and keeping your rhythm steady are the skills that help most when a text gets long.

What you will learn

There are no new keys this week. When you write paragraphs, you work on three things:

  • Moving from one sentence to the next. After a period, bring your fingers back to the home row and start the next sentence from there.
  • Starting a new paragraph. Press Enter to move to a new line and get ready for the next paragraph.
  • Keeping your attention through a long text. At the end of each sentence, take a short breath and focus on the next one.

A paragraph usually has several sentences. Start with a short one, then gradually add sentences as your stamina grows. At the end of each paragraph, relax your hands and return them to the home row before the next one.

Technique tips

  • Check your posture as you write longer texts. Keep your back straight, your shoulders relaxed and the screen at eye level.
  • After each paragraph, lift your hands briefly from the keys and settle back onto the home row. This short reset reduces tension over a longer session.
  • Do not rush when you press Enter. Starting a new line should not break the rhythm of the sentences.
  • If your attention drifts, do not stop right away. Finish the sentence, take a short check, and continue writing.
  • Look at the screen. Following the paragraph with your eyes keeps your accuracy steady over longer text.

Lessons

  1. Lesson 1 (10-15 minutes): Learn paragraph structure. Watch the keyboard demo, see how Enter moves to a new line, and type a few short paragraphs.
  2. Lesson 2 (10-15 minutes): Practice. Write paragraphs of three or four sentences, and return your fingers to the home row at the end of each one.
  3. Lesson 3 (10-15 minutes): Review and take the 2-minute test. Notice where your rhythm slowed in the longer text and practice that part again.

This week’s goal

Your targets are 36 WPM and 95% accuracy. Finishing the lessons earns 1 star. Reaching the accuracy target earns 2 stars, and reaching the speed target in the closing test earns 3 stars. Getting tired on longer texts is normal. Keeping your accuracy and taking regular short resets will help more than pushing for speed.
